FAQ section

General

How to find the right event and understand the organiser's requirements.

What kind of events can I find on Aventa?+

Aventa lists events from independent organisers across several sports and disciplines. Check each event page for its format, distance, terrain, entry requirements and organiser details.

Are your events suitable for beginners?+

That depends on the event. Check the difficulty, distance, terrain, cut-offs and any experience or kit requirements on its listing. Contact the organiser if you are unsure whether it suits you.

Are the events races?+

Some are races; others are challenges or non-competitive experiences. The event listing and organiser terms explain the format that applies.

What makes these events challenging?+

The demands vary by event and sport. Read the event description, route information and organiser guidance before entering, and prepare for the conditions described there.

FAQ section

Booking and Account

Questions about accounts, entries, rider details and what happens if plans change.

When is my place confirmed?+

Your place is only fully confirmed once your booking details have been completed where required and payment has been successfully received.

Can I create an account before booking?+

Yes. Creating an account helps you save your details, manage bookings and return to complete payment or review your event information later.

Can I edit my rider details after booking?+

You can save and manage reusable profile details in your account area. Event-specific details may also be editable depending on the stage of your booking and event administration requirements.

I started a booking but did not finish payment. What happens?+

Unpaid bookings may remain visible in your account for a period of time. You can either complete payment or cancel the unpaid booking if you no longer want it. Unpaid bookings do not guarantee a confirmed event place.

I created a booking by mistake. What should I do?+

If it is unpaid, cancel the booking from your account area. If you have already paid or are unsure, use our contact page with your booking reference; we will direct event-specific questions to the organiser.

Can I transfer my entry to someone else?+

Entries are generally personal to the named rider unless a specific transfer policy applies to that event. Check the relevant event page or contact us before assuming a transfer is allowed.

Can I defer my entry to another event or year?+

Deferrals are not automatic and depend on the policy for the specific event. If deferrals are allowed, they may be subject to timing rules, admin limits or additional conditions.

Can I get a refund if I can no longer attend?+

Refunds depend on the event policy and the timing of your cancellation. You should refer to the event terms and conditions and any event-specific policy shown at the time of booking.

FAQ section

Payment

How payment works, what pending statuses mean and what to do if something looks wrong.

How do I pay for my booking?+

Bookings are paid through our online checkout process. Once payment is successfully completed, your booking status will update in your account.

My payment did not complete. Has my place been lost?+

Not necessarily. If payment has not completed, your booking may remain in your account as unpaid or pending. You should return to your account and complete payment if the place is still available.

I paid, but my booking still looks like it is processing.+

There can be a short delay while payment confirmation updates. If the status does not change, use our contact page with your booking reference and do not make a second payment until we have checked it.

Can I pay later?+

That depends on the booking state and whether your unpaid booking remains active. A place is not fully confirmed until payment is complete.

Still unsure?
