Cookies & browser storage

What the current site stores in your browser and which services it loads.

Sign-in and essential services

Supabase authentication uses cookies to maintain and refresh your sign-in session. The exact cookie names include the project identifier and may be split into chunks. Session duration is governed by the deployed authentication settings.

The organiser workspace stores your selected organisation in the aventa_active_organization_id cookie for up to 30 days. Connecting an email provider uses a short-lived security cookie, lasting up to ten minutes, to validate the connection request.

Interface preferences

Browser local storage remembers a collapsed workspace sidebar and whether a marketing prompt was dismissed. These preferences remain until overwritten or cleared in your browser. Session storage may track an in-progress save interaction and ends with the browser session. They are not the authoritative store for your bookings or payments.

Maps, media and checkout

The discovery map requests map tiles from the configured provider, currently OpenStreetMap by default. Remote images and event embeds may load content from YouTube, Vimeo, Komoot, Strava or RideWithGPS. Those providers receive connection information such as your IP address when their resources load and may apply their own storage practices.

Some event media currently loads directly when displayed. A site-wide media-consent control has not yet been implemented. Follow an external provider’s privacy information for its handling of that information. Stripe’s checkout has its own payment, security and fraud-prevention technologies.

Analytics and advertising

The application reviewed for this notice does not include a general-purpose analytics or advertising tracking script. Hosting providers still produce operational logs, and email delivery services may record delivery and engagement events. This is not a claim that all third-party resources are cookie-free.

Your controls

You can inspect, block or clear cookies and local storage using your browser settings. Clearing authentication cookies signs you out; blocking essential storage can prevent account functions from working. Marketing email choices are separate from browser storage preferences.

The ICO’s cookie guidance explains browser controls and your choices.
